INTENTION : From Learning to Teaching

My approach to teaching is deeply shaped by my own learning experiences. I’ve always loved teaching - not because I think I’m particularly skilled, but because I understand the challenges of learning firsthand. I’ve traveled my own path, often learning the hard way, and it’s this journey that guides my teaching style today.

When I was 12, I remember helping the boy who sat next to me in math class. He had been struggling and kept failing his tests, but after some time, he passed, and I was then officially awarded as the “Little Teacher.” Looking back, that was just the start of my desire to help others. When I began practicing yoga, I never imagined I’d become a teacher. I didn’t feel “good enough,” and it took nearly a decade of practice before I felt ready to share what I had learned.

As I’ve continued on this path, my teaching has naturally adapted to my own life transitions - through times of fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and even yoga with my baby and toddler. Each phase brought new insights and deepened my understanding, transforming me and, I hope, making me a more thoughtful teacher.

Even now, with over ten years of teaching yoga, I set an intention before each class: to share the very best of what I’ve learned, in the hope that others can benefit from my journey, just as I have.
